Terms of Service

Last updated: September 16, 2026

These terms govern your use of Newcomers Careers (newcomerscareers.ca), operated by Jobsites Test Operator. By creating an account or posting a job you agree to them.

Accounts

  • You must give accurate information and keep your password secure.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
  • Recruiting agency accounts are created by us on request; agency owners are responsible for the people they add.

Job postings

  • Postings must describe a real, currently available position and must be lawful, including under human rights and employment standards legislation.
  • Include wage or salary information wherever the law of the job’s province requires it.
  • Do not post discriminatory, misleading, fraudulent or pyramid-style content, or ask applicants for payment.
  • We may edit, reject or remove postings that break these terms, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly do. Postings removed for breaking these terms are not refunded.

Prices, payment and renewals

  • Prices, including applicable GST, are shown before you pay. Payment is taken by card through Stripe.
  • A paid posting stays live for the duration you purchased, starting when payment is confirmed.
  • If you turn on auto-renew, we charge your saved card for each renewal period until you turn it off. You can turn it off at any time from your dashboard; it stops future renewals, not the current period.
  • Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, overload or interfere with the service, try to access accounts that are not yours, or use the site to send spam or collect personal information about users.

Disclaimers and liability

We provide the platform that connects employers and job seekers. We do not employ, screen or endorse applicants or employers, and we do not guarantee any hiring outcome.

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your job postings, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

Ending your account

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the date above, and email account holders at least 30 days before a material change takes effect.
